AutoKorrect Joins GankStars!
We are thrilled to welcome the notorious AutoKorrect and his unique charm to the GankStars family. We are eager to see his streaming persona bring a positive impact to the Vainglory and Overwatch community.
Want to know more about AutoKorrect? Well, let's ask him a few questions...
1. "Last year, you sometimes would get overly salty on your stream, which goes against GankStars' sportsmanship policy. But you've changed - how come?"
I blame my Korean blood. LOL. Part of it is that competitive spirit that drives us - if you watch Korean gamers, they're all very passionate, swear on stream, and can get salty. TaiRong is famous for his temper. It is also in part just showmanship. When you're a new streamer, you try to run with what you think people will like to watch. You try to be entertaining, which sometimes means being overly dramatic. If you had met me in real life, however, you would see that I'm not a negative person at all; I am the opposite.
After meeting some great people at VIPL and getting good advice from legends like bluberryz, I rethought my strategy. I want to give a more authentic portrayal of who I am in real life on stream. I also think that positivity and optimism is very important to being mentally tough, and it can lead to comeback wins.
2. "You are ranked above 4,000 in Overwatch, or Grandmaster. Have you reached top 250 in your region yet?"
I think I was top 250 in Korea server and NA at the beginning of the season, but now everyone else has climbed up a bit. It's hard to solo q after you hit 4k - you see a lot of people teaming up - so I, too, will be looking for people to rank with soon. For now I am still trying to improve more individually.
3. "Vietnam is quite far from NA. Is GankStars a popular brand in SEA region?"
In Vainglory, everyone knows GankStars. They were one of the first and best guilds. I remember even in Korea they have fans. I'm excited to see GS expand into other games, as I think that will improve their brand even more. I hope to be a part of helping them grow their fanbase in the SEA region.
4. "Favorite Overwatch character and you can only pick one - GO!"
My favorite overall is D.Va (of course), but not to play. My favorite character to play is Soldier 76 because it reminds me of my pro Call of Duty days.
5. "What is your history with GankStars?"
As I was among one of the first group of players to stream VG, and the first in Asia region, I knew about GS since they got together. In the beginning, I played with mostly Nemesis, so I knew Nemesis better and they had a big rivalry going on with GankStars. As GS grew as an organization, and I read their statements and saw what they were doing, I fell in love with them. Vision is important, and having the right business acumen is even more important. They have it all: talent, vision, organization, leadership, and business acumen.
6. "Favorite Vainglory player (from any org)?"
Tough. But I'm a huge fan of teamwork combined with mechanical individual skill, so for me, Druid is the best in those areas. People don't realize how many hours he practices; his dedication is unmatched. His ability to suddenly burst into action and pull off amazing plays is the best in the world.
7. "Favorite Overwatch player (from any org)?"
