We treat Vainglory as both an eSport and a community. Our competitive side is strong, mature, and committed. At the same time, we always work on projects that help thousands of others. Please fill out this form as best as you can; hundreds of people apply monthly, so we need to be able to tell you from the crowd. What is your true passion? What can you contribute? What mark do you want to leave on the Fold?
For professional players
If you're an amazing player, we'll do our best to take care of the rest - income, travel, etc.
You should be able to take a top 3 spot in competitions with light to medium training. Your application has the best chance if you're a known entity in soloQ or competitions or send links to (private) screenshots of beating top teams (full teams). Several of our existing competitive players will play with you to test map awareness, teamwork, and responsiveness to feedback. You should impress, but you don't have to be the absolute best already; we recognize potential and would love to marry it with our coaching, analysis, and support. No matter who you are, a humble attitude, exemplary sportsmanship, and a willingness to learn are must-haves.
We're looking for amazing people, period. It's great if you have some of the skills listed below, but if you don't and still bring in positivity & fun - you're welcome! If you do have skills listed, please include links with portfolio or follow up with an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. You may have other skill that's not listed - that's great, too! We aim to create a legacy through merit, hard work, and fun.
Skills that are great to have (we'll ask for links/proof):
- Video editing (montage, production)
- Video effects production (after-effects, SFX, etc.)
- Animation (to help with the above)
- Graphic design (particularly as related to logos, 2D effects, and banners)
- Writing and analysis skills
- Social media representation
- Event organization
- Web coding/design
We try to read every application. If you didn't hear from us, our apologies; it does likely mean that we're not interested. However, we encourage you to reach out to us via e-mail or Twitter to make sure (be sure to include your IGN) - sometimes too many things are going on at a time when your application is received and it falls through the cracks.
At GankStars we value privacy; we don't disclose to the public who applied, and we rarely disclose why people leave. We do share the answers with existing GankStars members to get their opinions and votes except for anything in the |Private| field. For competitive applicants: no information is shared with the guild until the applicant agrees to it.
